If you affirm the general principles of our faith
and would like to commit to be a part of this dynamic and important
congregation, you may wish to consider becoming a member. Members
are expected to support the Meeting House through a combination
of financial pledging and active service, as well as participating
in the fall Annual Meeting.
Membership does not require a "conversion" or a
rejection of what you value from previous religious affiliations.
Neither does it require agreement with a creed. By signing our membership
book, you are simply indicating that you are in sympathy with our
principles and wish to be part of our spiritual family.
To become a member, you must attend a new member
orientation, which are held several times a year. Please e-mail
or speak to Reverend Hyder for more information or to inquire about
the new member class.
Whether a Member or Kindred Spirit, at the Meeting
House you can develop a wonderful community of friends. But best
of all, you will find a spiritual home which helps them in their
search for truth and ethical living.
Why should you join our fellowship?
Because you want to support liberal religion, religion
which affirms reason, tolerance, honesty and compassion.
Because you will find the encouragement to pursue
your own religious journey among like-minded people.
Because you want to be a full voting participant
in congregational decisions and be eligible to serve on the board
and in other capacities.
Because you want to be part of the wider Unitarian
Universalist community. Members receive The World, a bimonthly magazine
published by the UUA.
