Unitarian Universalist Meeting

House of Provincetown

Monday Night Meditation Circle.

Welcome to the Monday night Meditation Circle of the UU Meeting House of Provincetown.  We are so glad you clicked to learn more.

For seven years we have been meeting each Monday evening in community to gather for our individual meditation practice, be together, learn from inspirational readings and from each other.

We join together knowing we are not your average or usual meditation group.  And, where once we met in person, we now meet on Zoom with a moderator, a topic leader and each other.

We are made one by the teachings of many traditions including Mindfulness, Buddhism, Yogic traditions, Poetry, Transcendentalism, Christianity, Judaism, The Tao, Islam and Mysticism, Dr. Seuss, and even Mr. Rogers to name a few.  We believe each pathway has its insights and teachings, which benefit all who come together every Monday on Zoom from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M.

So, whether you have a long-standing meditation practice, or are new to the power of meditation and Mindfulness, we invite you to contact us by email or phone to learn more, where we will add your name to our weekly email list and provide you with the Zoom Room details. Contact information is below.

We begin with a fifteen-minute Silent Meditation to ground ourselves, decompress from our day and enter our sacred time together.

Each week one of our meditation leaders chooses a topic to speak about and our group discussion follows for approximately fifteen minutes.

After our discussion, thoughts and insights on the evening’s topic are shared in community as we then move on to our final fifteen-minute “sit” - sometimes in silence and sometimes guided. At the hour’s end, we say our good-byes and offer our Namaste to one another.
